  • On January 18, 2018 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, Kevin Medinger, 32 years old, was arrested in connection with the theft of a firearm and cash from a local residence. Medinger stole a Smith and Wesson-38 special revolver from a residence where he did odd jobs for the victim. SOURCE: DAILY POST
  • On November 22, 2017, in Los Alamos, New Mexico, a customer shot at a departing robbery suspect outside of a bank but apparently did not hurt anyone. FBI spokesman said the suspect remains at large. SOURCE: KRQE NEWS
  • On September 22, 2016 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, the county police department responded to an incident at a bank. A man pointing a gun at the teller robbed the bank. SOURCE: LOS ALAMOS DAILY POST
  • On July 31, 2015 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, police arrested a juvenile after a foot chase ensued. The police recovered several stolen firearms. The juvenile will be charged with 4 counts of felony larceny of firearms and being a minor in possession of a firearm. SOURCE: DAILY POST
  • On June 21, 2015 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, police arrested a man who had barricaded himself inside of an apartment with a firearm. SOURCE: DAILY BEAST
  • In August of 2008 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, 56 year-old Jack Markham shot his wife three times in the heart. His wife had left him days earlier because she was worried that he was suicidal. Police reportedly found seven handguns and several shotguns in his bedroom. His wife was coming to bring him dinner and medication. SOURCE: ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL
  • In April of 2000, two Los Alamos High school students were shot and killed while making the Good Friday Pilgrimage to Chimayo. 20-year-old Carlos Herrera pleaded guilty to their murder over a drug deal. He was sentenced to two 30-year life terms. SOURCE: SANTA FE NEW MEXICAN
