  • On June 19, 2018 in Tucumcari, New Mexico, Robert Roybal, 55 years old, was killed by police officers. Police responded to a hostage situation. Roybal was holding a knife to a man’s neck. Negotiations lasted for about an hour. A Quay County cheriff’s officer saw Roybal pushing the knife harder against the hostage’s throat. The officer shot at Roybal, killing him. SOURCE: KOB4
