  • On March 11, 2015 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 18 year-old Nicholas Chavez was arrested for allegedly shooting at a Good Samaritan who was protecting a woman at a gas station when Chavez began aggressively flirting with the woman while she was pumping gas. SOURCE: KRQE

  • On August 8, 2014 in Algodones, New Mexico, state police responded to a 911 call by the owner of a bed and breakfast who heard shots being fired. When the police arrived, a man was shooting a high-powered rifle and making threats. The officers entered into a dialogue and then opened fire. The shooter is in critical condition.
