  • On May 26, 2016, New Mexico State Police investigated a deadly shooting that happened on I-25 southbound near Socorro, New Mexico. Investigators said the suspect was killed by officers, and is believed to have been a suspect wanted for carjacking. SOURCE: KRQE NEWS
  • On December 8, 2015 in Socorro County, New Mexico, 29 year-old Daniel Reynolds, who had a stolen gun, was shot by the DA’s investigator. Reynolds was allegedly driving a stolen car when the DA’s investigator tried to pull him over with the help from a Socorro County sheriff’s deputy.  Reynolds remains hospitalized in stable condition.   • On January 14, 2014 in Socorro County, New Mexico, the bodies of 2 men were found shot to death in a canal. Police are treating it as a homicide investigation. SOURCE: KVIA.COM

  • On June 26, 2015 in Socorro, New Mexico, a victim said that he was approached by a suspect with a firearm who demanded his wallet. When the supect fled he ran directly into a police car. He was booked in the Socorro Detention Center. SOURCE: B. CHIEFTIAN
  • On July 2, 2015 in Socorro, New Mexico, a drive-by shooting occurred on 6th street. The suspect in the shooting then crashed his car in a ditch. Both the driver and the shooter were intoxicated. SOURCE: B CHIEFTIAN
  • On July 5, 2015 in Socorro, New Mexico, officers were called to a home where a man said a woman had pointed a gun at him. When the police arrived the woman was hallucinating and suicidal.
