The Victims
“The Face of Gun Violence” in New Mexico is a project to document the victims that too often are forgotten and to give them a voice. We started this project as a result of several conversations about gun violence and the frustration we had with the lack of progress on the issue. We felt the problem of gun violence and it’s solutions needed to include more than statistics. We want to tell the human story when possible and not just recount the numbers. We’ve been telling the stories of hundreds of victims for the past five years and nothing has changed other than gun violence is even more prevalent today and that action still needs to be taken.
